São Paulo - Day 2

It was so good to sleep in a bed that did not sway all night with 10 foot swells at sea!

The day in São Paulo was amazing!!  The Av. Paulista is the Main Street of downtown São Paulo. The city is known as the City that Never Sleeps. There are so many people on the streets all day and all night.

Martha being silly with the Christmas bear and Mike and Sally and Vera in front off a jungle plant in a huge shopping mall.

The Central city market was unbelievable!  All the food I could ever imagine for sale. Cheese, spices, fruit and vegetables and meat of every kind. Too much too describe properly.
Olives. Strawberries.

Spices.

A cashew in its natural state. The bottom smelled like bell pepper.
Nuts.
Shrimp the size of Mike's hand.

After the city market dinner was at a pizzeria called Mancini's. The entire block was developed by an Italian family with restaurants and stores.

Dinner hour in São Paulo - 10 pm.
Pizza dough is in the air!  It was fabulous!  Again I find my day devoted to food and the art of eating. When will it stop!

Tomorrow starts the graduation events with church in the morning, more eating and a formal dinner party at night.  More eating in my future!  Unforgettable sights and sounds but I am becoming exhausted from trying to understand the Portuguese. I can now ask for the bathroom with some confidence. Banheiro. There may still be some hope for me.
